Special Report: Farnborough Air Show 2008

At the biannual event in England, planemakers joust for orders while the crowds enjoy heart-stopping aerial displays

Inside: This Week In Europe
Soaring oil prices and slumping economic growth are making things difficult for the global aerospace industry. Company heavy-hitters all turned out for this year's Farnborough Airshow in Britain and--as Carol Matlack explains--certain firms are adapting better than others to the challenges now facing one of the world's most important industries.

We've also got M&A activity for European brewers, Gameloft's play for the iPhone 3G, and the expansion of the Russian auto market. Plus, Santander's acquisition of Alliance & Leicester, eBay's ongoing problems with Dior, and a rich assortment of other finance, energy, and technology coverage. Don't miss Parker on Chianti clasicos and a slideshow on famous American brands owned by foreign companies.
